Commercial waterproof festoon lights for contractors, venues and distributors. Custom E27/B22, 24V/230V and OEM/ODM outdoor string light systems for UK, EU and Australia projects.
Planning festoon lighting for a town centre or municipal space takes more than choosing a lamp style. Start with a clear route plan, confirm the exact product configuration, and gather the documents required for the project and destination market.
WENDADECO has manufactured lighting since 1999 and exported since 2013. This guide provides a project brief checklist. Final product selection, installation design and electrical work should be reviewed by suitably qualified professionals under local requirements.
Map the proposed route and note each span, support point, mounting height, power location, access requirement and expected installation period. Include site drawings or photographs where possible. Have the responsible project professional assess structural supports, clearances, wind exposure, public access and maintenance access before specifying the lighting.
Use the datasheet for the exact model and components being quoted. A standard 230V festoon set is supplied in 10m lengths with sockets at 50cm spacing. One confirmed 24V configuration uses a 200W transformer with 300 DIP bulbs rated at 0.5W each over a 100m set. These figures describe those specific configurations; they do not establish a universal maximum run or allow components to be substituted without checking compatibility.
Before ordering, confirm the supply voltage, set length, bulb type and wattage, socket spacing, connectors, transformer and any required controls together. Ask for a written configuration review if a project combines multiple sets or uses a non-standard layout. Do not estimate voltage drop, connection limits or feed points from a headline length alone.
Check the rating and supporting document for each exact component. WENDADECO festoon strings are specified at IP65; IP67 applies only to certain transformers and some bulb models where the model documentation states it. A component rating does not automatically apply to the complete string, its connectors or the installed system.
Request the applicable product documents for the selected models and destination market. WENDADECO does not claim TÜV certification. Where a VDE mark or document is relevant, check its stated scope; it may cover the plug only and should not be presented as certification of the whole lighting string. Do not rely on a supplier's general certificate list as proof for every model.
Have the project installer confirm the mounting method, electrical protection, routing, weather exposure, isolation points and inspection plan against the approved design and local rules. Keep the selected product identifiers and documents with the project records so replacement parts and future orders can be matched accurately.
With these details, the product configuration and documentation can be checked against the project brief before an order is placed. Contact WENDADECO with the project information to discuss suitable models and request the relevant product documents.
